Dithaba Lodge Bar Lounge

Dithaba (meaning ‘mountain’ in the local dialect) is located slightly higher up and has a spectacular view over the open plains.

With only 4 Suites (each with private plunge pool), this Lodge is well suited to a group of friends or family members making it their own while on safari.

Or for those who simply prefer the sound of nature and little else.

[“Heaven on Earth” Tripadvisor] “We are a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We were staying in Dithaba Lodge with one other family with teenagers. From the moment we got there to the moment we left we felt spoiled. We arrived at 3 pm and went straight out on a safari with our fantastic guide Max. He had excellent knowledge and on the first night we saw all of the Big 5 and saw a group of Hyena and Wild Dogs fighting which is very rare. On safari there were wonderful touches like sundowners and water flasks and in the mornings blankets and hot water bottles. We loved both the trips and saw so much. When we got back to the lodge we were treated to brunch, high tea or dinner. The food was first class. We also had a lovely BBQ one night and breakfast out in the middle of the game park which was really special. We had the most amazing time and would love to go back one day

Dithaba Lodge

[“The most FANTASTIC experience” Tripadvisor] “What can we say? we were fortunate enough to travel as a family children aged 11,8 and 5 (5 year old with an acquired brain injury and therefore special needs) and our friends with 2 children aged 11 and 8. We were staying in Dithaba lodge. From the moment we arrived we were truly spoilt by the staff, the food, the facilities, the views and the safari. The staff were quiet simply exceptional and as a family that have travelled extensively around the world this would rate as the best in terms of staff (beating the Burj al Arab) they were always there when needed, but never in your face or in the way. Lindy the lady who took the 5 children off on their own daytime adventures including our special needs son needs a special mention as nothing seemed to phase her, we explained to her about Jobe and his needs and she was absolutely fantastic with him. Gerhard was our guide and he was brilliant, either through his skills as a tracker (great Lion hunt) his explanations of the plants and animals on both a child level of understanding and an adult and his compassion when dealing with our son and his struggles when he is overloaded on a sensory level. The food – amazing, you could actually eat from the moment you open your eyes, to the moment you close them! I can’t think of any more descriptive words to describe the fantastic time we had, but will the memories made will last a lifetime.
